A short word on Banishing

The Necronomicon gives us several exorcisms and incantations that may be used as banishing rituals, yet are more properly thought of as exorcisms. One seeking initiation into the Necronomicon will come to invoke, rather than evoke, the energies contained within the book. Therefore the Necronomicon lays out exorcisms as opposed to banishing rituals. Why would a Priest or Priestess desire to banish away the energies raised through ritual? He or She may however choose to use exorcisms to target specific forces attracted to these types of workings. These comprise the fundamental building block of the Priest, and are found primarily in the Maklu text of the book. Those seeking initiation into the deeper mysteries of the Necronomicon will find it a worthwhile task to familiarize themselves with these.

For those seeking to either experiment with the book and advance no further, or for those wishing to experiment before deciding to press forward, there are other alternatives for banishing rituals. These methods will serve to banish all energies evoked during ritual. Although many members of the Order choose to swim in the radiant energy produced by the Necronomicon, we understand that at experimental stages such action is not for everyone. Although there is virtually no ritual which can protect more than the conjuration of one's Watcher, we present to you some methods for banishing.

Simon’s introduction mentions that using solar energy to banish can work. Remember that the Sumerian sun god Utu, or Shammash as he was known in Babylon, is the Great Judge. There exist no foul entities that may deceive or harm us when his light is cast upon them. The late adept who went by the name “IAM” or "IAMRAH" taught his friends a banishing method that has come to be known as the Solar Banishing Wave. Another useful ritual for banishing is the Solar Cross Ritual.

Let us look at another method: planetary banishing. Mesopotamian magick is based around the planets rather than the four elements (this is the reason why the LBRP is nearly ineffective as a banishing method when using the Necronomicon). When we look into planetary banishing we find the LBRH (Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Hexagram.) This is the ritual of choice for those with a more western ceremonial background seeking to experiment with the Necronomicon.

Hermeticist Frater Nero also devised a very effective ritual designed to call forth the powers of the Elder God Anu to banish all with in your radius…though a word of warning, those used to the western tradition should make use of and perform the sign of the enterer and the sign of silence when charging the seals in this ritual.

There are many other rituals that work and by now it should be clear the type of rituals that you are going to want to use. For the experimenting magickian the above should suffice quite well.
